Add a custom group of terms

Lexicons contain a group of terms that relate to one another. You can create one to assign terms to. This article provides instructions on how to create a custom Lexicon.

To create a new Lexicon:

  1. Go to the Policies section and click on the Lexicons tab on the right:

  2. Select Add New Lexicon:

  3. On the next page, enter the Lexicon name, assign it to a Policy module, and brief description. Select Create a lexicon to Save.

Important Notes:

  1. You can set the Lexicon to Active or Silent monitoring. Active includes the pop-up notification feature. Silent monitoring prevents the pop-up notification from appearing for all terms in the lexicon, but the all data of flagged terms will still appear on the Guide analytics page.

  2. Create a custom Lexicon before adding terms.

  3. A Policy module is a group of Lexicons. For example, the Policy named Regulatory Compliance contains Lexicons pertaining to different violations within the regulated space.
