Microsoft Teams Voice and Meetings capture brings supported Microsoft Teams calls and meetings into MCO eComms so they can be transcribed, retained, monitored, and reviewed according to your organization’s electronic communications policy.
Overview
Microsoft Teams is a unified communications and collaboration platform used for calls, meetings, and other workplace communications. Voice and meeting communications can include business records that compliance teams need to preserve and supervise.
MCO eComms supports Microsoft Teams Voice and Meetings capture so organizations can include supported Teams audio and video communications in their electronic communications review program. Once captured, recordings are transcribed, archived, and monitored according to your configured policies and license limitations.
NOTE: The MCO eComms Teams Voice & Meetings capture leverages the Third-party compliance recording for Microsoft Teams calls and meetings integration APIs.
Microsoft Teams Chat uses a separate integration method based on the Microsoft Teams Chat Export API.

Record calls and meetings | The recording bot records supported Teams calls and meetings for covered employees. |
Send recordings to MCO eComms | After the call or meeting ends, the bot securely forwards the recording to MCO eComms for processing. |
Transcribe recordings | MCO eComms processes the recording and creates a verbatim transcription. |
Archive communications | The recording and transcript are added to the MCO eComms archive. |
Apply policies | Configured retention and monitoring policies apply based on your organization’s setup and license limitations. |

Integration method
Microsoft Teams Voice and Meetings capture uses an MCO recording bot designed for Microsoft Teams calls and meetings.
This integration is separate from Microsoft Teams Chat capture. Teams Chat capture uses the Microsoft Teams Chat Export API, while Teams Voice and Meetings capture uses the MCO recording bot to capture live calls and meetings.
