For Compliance Administrators and IT Administrators.
Before you begin
You must have Compliance Administrator or IT Administrator access in MCO eComms.
The user whose LinkedIn account you are configuring must have an active LinkedIn account and access to their LinkedIn credentials.
LinkedIn Messaging must be enabled as a communication source for your deployment. Contact your MCO implementation representative if you are unsure.
Configure the source
Navigate to Settings and select Users from the left-hand navigation.
Locate the user you want to configure for LinkedIn Messaging capture and click the Edit icon (pencil) to open their profile.
Scroll to the Sources section and click Edit.
Click Add Source.
From the drop-down menu, select LinkedIn Messaging.
Leave the unique identifier field blank. It is populated automatically after the user authorizes their account.
Click the blue check circle to confirm. The source row is saved.
Authorize the user's account
Click Save. A pop-up appears with the user's authorization link.
Deliver the authorization link to the user by clicking the copy icon to share it directly, or clicking Send Authorization Link to send it by email.
Ask the user to open the authorization link, select Credentials, and log in with their LinkedIn username and password. The user will see a confirmation screen when their account is connected.
Navigate to Settings > Users, open the user's profile, and scroll to the Sources section. Confirm that the unique identifier field has been populated. This confirms that LinkedIn Messaging capture is active for this user.
WARNING: The authorization link must be used by the user being monitored. Do not complete the authorization step on the user's behalf.
Result
