Configure Telegram Capture

This article shows you how to configure Telegram message capture for your firm so that covered employee communications are available for archiving and surveillance in MCO eComms.

For Compliance Administrators and IT Administrators.

Before you begin

  • Confirm you have Compliance Administrator or IT Administrator access in MCO eComms.

  • Identify all covered employees who will have Telegram capture enabled. You will need each employee's full name, email address, and phone number.

  • MCO will configure a journaling address and coordinate setup with the capture partner on your behalf. Confirm your MCO implementation representative is engaged before you begin.

Steps

  1. Collect the full name, email address, and phone number of each covered employee who requires Telegram capture. MCO provides a form for this purpose.

  2. Submit the completed form to your MCO implementation representative. MCO uses this information to configure your firm-specific journaling address and provide your employee details to the capture partner to complete the integration setup.

  3. Work with your MCO implementation representative to schedule a pilot test. MCO and your firm test the configured capture service with a small number of employee accounts before wider deployment to confirm the setup is working correctly.

  4. Once the pilot test is verified, notify covered employees that they must download and activate the CM for TLGRM app on their mobile device. Share the employee setup article with each user: Set up the CM for TLGRM app.

NOTE: The CM for TLGRM app must be installed and activated by each covered employee before their Telegram messages are captured. Employees who have not completed app setup will not have their communications captured.

Result

Telegram capture is active for your covered employees. Telegram messages from employees who have completed app setup are captured and available for archiving and surveillance in MCO eComms in accordance with your firm's policy and regulatory requirements.
