User access and provisioning with Microsoft Entra ID

Updated over 12 months ago

Microsoft Login is a single sign-on mechanism service with Microsoft Entra ID using OpenID Connect (OIDC). For enterprises using Microsoft Entra ID, single sign-on to MyComplianceOffice eComms is straightforward.

User Experience

Upon navigating to the sign-in page, users will note the Sign In with Microsoft option prominently displayed at the bottom of the form.

Clicking that button will walk the user through the Microsoft Sign in process as defined by your organization. Once authenticated, the user is directly signed into the application.

Should the application not have been previously approved for use in your organization, the user will be prevented from authenticating, given the option to consent to access, or submitting a request for access to their administrator.

The specific access flow will be determined based on how your Enterprise application access has been defined in the Microsoft Entra admin center.

Adding MyComplianceOffice eComms enterprise application

To add the application to your Microsoft Entra tenant account:

  1. Sign in to the Microsoft Entra admin center as a Global Administrator, Cloud Application Administrator, or Application Administrator role.

  2. Navigate to Identity > Applications > Enterprise applications > All applications

  3. Select New application.

  4. In the Browse Microsoft Entra Gallery page, search for the MyComplianceOffice eComms application.

  5. Select Sign-up. Sign in the user account credentials from Microsoft Entra ID that have been previously configured in MyComplianceOffice eComms so that user credentials and tenant information are validated.

  6. Select Consent on behalf of your organization and then select Accept. This will add the application to your tenant and direct you to the application home page.

Note: At this time, the application does not support MCO eComms account sign-up during the Microsoft Entra ID authentication process, so it is important to preconfigure your user with a matching enterprise email address prior to completing these final steps.
