šŸŽ‰ New and Improved Features

MCO-153145 | Review | 2025-07-31

Alert Count by Source Now Displayed in Inbox

The Inbox has been enhanced to display the current count of alerts grouped by their source. This improvement provides compliance users with immediate visibility into the volume of alerts originating from each communication channel, streamlining prioritization and triage workflows.

This enhancement supports better operational awareness and improves the efficiency of surveillance teams by reducing the need to manually filter or query for source-specific alert volumes.

Noise Classification Labels Now Displayed in Messages and Alerts

To enhance transparency and support supervisory review, the eComms platform now displays Noise AI classification labels directly within the message view. This update allows compliance users to quickly identify messages that have been algorithmically classified as noise, reducing manual review time and improving auditability.

Noise is any email message that has limited compliance value, like marketing newsletters or system notifications. These are available immediately and will continue to improve in accuracy over time.

Enhanced Participant Management in Message and Alert Details

To improve usability when reviewing Messages and Alerts with large numbers of participants, new capabilities were added to help compliance users manage participant information more efficiently. Users can now search for participants directly within the details view and benefit from enhanced sorting logic.

Archived participants are displayed at the top of the list, followed by unarchived participants. Within each group, names are sorted alphabetically, making it easier to locate individuals and understand participant status at a glance. These enhancements support faster navigation and review during alert investigations and supervisory workflows.

Enhanced Participant Mapping in Alert Details View

Compliance users can now directly map previously unmapped message participants from within the Alert Details View. This enhancement streamlines the review process by allowing supervisors and analysts to resolve participant gaps without navigating away from the alert context.

šŸž Bug Fixes

MCO-158133 | Keep | Review | 2025-07-31

Improved Accuracy in Archive Paging Counts

An issue was identified where the Archive feature occasionally returned incorrect paging counts, leading to inconsistencies in the number of messages displayed across pages. The root cause was linked to underlying database behavior, and optimizations were implemented to improve the accuracy of count queries. These changes help reduce the likelihood of inflated or inconsistent message counts.

Correction to Unmapped Message Labeling

A defect was resolved that had caused certain archived messages to be incorrectly labeled as "Unmapped" despite containing only mapped participants. This issue was most commonly observed in email messages where all recipients were mapped BCCs, yet the system still flagged them as unmapped. The root cause was traced to a flag that was not being properly unset during message processing.

This fix ensures that messages with mapped BCC recipients are now accurately labeled, improving the reliability of filtering and classification in the archive. A data correction script was also deployed to retroactively update affected records.

Improved Cursor Display on Guide User Groups Analytics Hover

Previously, when users hovered over the Group name/User Groups option on the Analytics page, the cursor icon did not change to a hand icon, making it unclear that the element was clickable. This issue has now been resolved. The cursor icon now correctly changes to a hand when hovering over these interactive elements, improving visual cues and overall usability for compliance users navigating group-level analytics.

Fix for Participant Mapping in Instant Messages

An issue was resolved where the "Mapping Unmapped Participants" feature did not function correctly for instant message (IM) content types like ICE Chat, WhatsApp, WeChat, Bloomberg, and LinkedIn. This inconsistency with email has now been corrected, and the feature behaves as expected across all supported IM sources

MCO-142400 | Keep | Review | 2025-07-16

Closed Alerts Tab Failing to Load

A defect that prevented the Closed Alerts tab from loading for some situations has been resolved. The issue stemmed from orphan alerts that disrupted the alert retrieval process, blocking access to historical alert data. This fix ensures that users can now reliably access the Closed Alerts tab without delays or failures.

Orphan alerts are the result of the system processing a high volume of messages quickly that get de-duplicated. The orphan alert is the result of one or more duplicate messages having an alert generated before being de-duplicated. De-duplication is designed to reduce duplicate messages in the archive and the resulting duplicate alerts they may create.

Improved Mapping Feedback for Unmapped Participants

A fix was released to improve the user experience when mapping previously unmapped participants in eComms. Previously, after mapping a participant, the confirmation indicator in the Message Info Panel did not appear unless the user manually refreshed the page. This issue has now been resolved—mapped participants are now immediately reflected in the interface without requiring a refresh.

This enhancement ensures more accurate and timely visual feedback for compliance users during participant mapping workflows. The fix has been deployed to production for email-based communications.

Improved Display of IM Video Content in Messages and Alerts

The display of video content within instant message (IM) conversations was enhanced to ensure animated media—such as GIFs—render correctly in both message and alert views. This update resolved prior issues where video content appeared static or failed to display as intended. The fix was validated across staging and production environments, and historical GIFs are now fully animated and visible.
