Set up the CM for TLGRM app

This article shows you how to download and activate the CM for TLGRM app on your mobile device so that your Telegram messages are captured for compliance purposes.

For covered employees. Complete these steps only after your Compliance Administrator has confirmed that Telegram capture has been provisioned for your account.

Before you begin

  • Confirm with your Compliance Administrator that your account has been provisioned for Telegram capture before installing the app.

  • You need your phone number and access to your native Telegram app to complete activation.

  • The CM for TLGRM app is available for Android and Apple iOS devices.

Download the app

For Android

  1. Open Google Play Store on your mobile device.

  2. Tap the Search tab.

  3. Enter CM for TLGRM in the search bar.

  4. Tap Install. The app downloads and installs to your mobile device.

  5. Tap Open.

  6. Tap Start Messaging to set up your account.

For Apple iOS

  1. Open App Store on your mobile device.

  2. Tap the Search tab.

  3. Enter CM for TLGRM in the search bar.

  4. Tap GET. The app downloads and installs to your mobile device.

  5. Tap Open.

  6. Tap Start Messaging to set up your account.

Activate your account

Complete these steps after opening the app for the first time on either platform.

  1. Open the CM for TLGRM app. The app requests permission to allow notifications.

  2. Tap Allow.

  3. Tap Start Messaging. The app requests permission to receive phone calls automatically.

  4. Tap CONTINUE. The app requests permission to manage phone calls.

  5. Tap Allow.

  6. Enter your phone number with the country code. A one-time PIN is sent to your phone number.

  7. Enter the PIN and tap Activate. The app requests permission to read the call log.

  8. Tap CONTINUE. The app requests permission to access phone call logs.

  9. Tap Allow. A verification code is sent to your native Telegram app.

  10. Enter the verification code. The app requests permission to collect your contacts' information.

  11. Tap AGREE. The app requests permission to access your contacts.

  12. Tap Allow. The CM for TLGRM home screen appears.

Result

Your CM for TLGRM account is active. Your Telegram messages are now captured and available for archiving and surveillance in MCO eComms.

NOTE: If you switch mobile devices or reinstall the app, contact your Compliance Administrator to confirm your account provisioning is still active before completing setup again.
