Before you begin
Confirm your Compliance Administrator has provisioned your account for Signal capture.
Confirm the TM SGNL app is installed on your iOS device.
Confirm you have access to the phone number included in your welcome email from TeleMessage.
Confirm you can receive a verification code by mobile phone or organization email, depending on your organization’s setup.
Be prepared to allow the app to access the permissions required for capture.
NOTE: MCO uses TeleMessage to capture Signal data for this source. TeleMessage captures supported communications and makes them available to MCO eComms for retention, monitoring, and review.
iOS setup note
When setting up Signal Capture on an iOS device, you cannot back up chat history because this feature is not supported on iOS.
Open the Signal Capture app
On your iOS device, open the installed TM SGNL app.
Tap CONTINUE.
Review the permissions requested by the app. The app may request access to calls, contacts, media, and notifications.
Tap Allow Permissions.
Verify your phone number
Enter the phone number included in your welcome email from TeleMessage.
Tap Continue.
Review the phone number verification message.
Confirm the phone number is correct.
Tap Yes.
A one-time PIN is sent to your phone number.
Enter the one-time PIN
Locate the one-time PIN sent to your phone number.
Enter the code in the TM SGNL app.
Tap Submit to activate your account.
Complete human verification
After you submit the one-time PIN, the app verifies that you are human.
Complete the verification steps shown in the app.

Locate the verification code sent to your phone number or organization email.
Enter the verification code in the app.
Choose whether to transfer chat history
The app prompts you to transfer chat history from the native Signal app, Signal Capture, or an older device.
Select the option that applies to your setup:

Tap Register without Transferring if you are not transferring chat history.
Create your PIN
Create a PIN to secure your account.
The PIN can be numeric or alphanumeric and must contain at least four characters.
Tap Next.
Confirm your PIN.
Tap Next.
Set up your profile
NOTE: First name is required. Last name is optional unless your organization requires it.
Result
The Signal Capture home screen appears. Your Signal Capture account is active on your iOS device.
After setup is complete, supported Signal communications can be captured by TeleMessage and made available to MCO eComms according to your organization’s configuration and policies.
