Implementing the WhatsApp Cloud Archiver can be accomplished with the following steps.
Customer to determine which app users will connect for archiving
Customers need to determine if their employees will be using WhatsApp Messenger or WhatsApp Business for business communications.
Frequently, for companies that supply company issued devices, will use WhatsApp Messenger. If the company support BYOD, then the company will need to determine if they want to recommend employees use WhatsApp Business for business communications and if a virtual phone number should be provided for separating personal from business communications.
Customer to collect user information of covered employees
In order to setup each covered employee, customers will need to collect and share with MCO employee full names, email addresses, and phone numbers or indicate request for new virtual phone number. A form will be provided to complete this step.
MCO to setup customer specific journaling address
If needed, MCO will configure a separate secure journaling address for WhatsApp messages to be journaled to.
MCO to provide customer, configuration and user information to capture partner to complete setup
With the journaling address, customer information, and covered employee information previously collected, MCO will work with our partner to complete the setup the capturing service.
Test Capture Service
After setup, MCO and the customer will work together on training key personnel and testing the configured service before wider rollout. This is typically done with a handful of configured employee accounts to verify all customer specific configuration.
Users receive email instructions to connect their app
Once setup has been verified, instructions will be emailed to all covered employees for connecting their application to the capture service. If WhatsApp Business is being introduced separate instructions for installing this should be provided first.
